Passenger Notice: Arriva North Wales Service Changes January 2024

Following the introduction of 20mph speed limits in Wales, Arriva Wales have undertaken a review of their bus timetables due to the associated impact on service punctuality. Following this review, a number of changes will be made to the Arriva network across North Wales in January 2024. The link below outlines all changes with the amendments to Flintshire services to be implemented from Sunday 21st of January 2024. There is also timetable links for each service change and details will be available to residents on the Arriva website and Traveline Cymru., Residents are advised to check timetables before making travel plans to ensure they are accessing the most up to date information.

Bus passes and discounts

Welsh Government Youth Travel Pass / mytravelpass

Concessionary travel pass – apply for a bus pass or rail card (for over 60s or disabled users).

1bws multi-operator ticket - The 1bws multi-operator ticket gives you access to 27 bus operators and nearly 200 bus routes across North Wales.

PlusBus - unlimited day or season travel in Flint Town. 

Explore Wales Pass – unlimited travel on all Wales mainline train services and many bus routes.

Lost property

If you think you may have left an item on a bus, please contact the bus company concerned (see useful documents to the right of this page for phone numbers).  If your property is located it is your responsibility to collect it from the relevant depot.

Bus Services on Public Holidays

On Public Holidays, most bus services operate to a SUNDAY timetable.  Buses do not normally operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.  On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, bus services finish earlier than usual at about 8pm.

Flintshire County Council Residents Services For Medical Appointments

Residents of Flintshire have access to 2 services that provide transport to medical appointments including Dentist, Doctors and Glan Clwyd, Wrexham Maelor and Countess of Chester Hospitals.  These services are at a reduced cost, further information available at Welsh Border Community Transport
