19/06/2020 Statement: Local Travel Arrangement services to resume
Due to the unprecedented circumstances currently being experienced, some commercial bus services operating throughout Flintshire and bordering counties have made variations to their timetables which will come in to effect as of Monday 23rd of March 2020. All timetables are available on the individual operators website and will be kept up to date with any additional changes over the coming weeks. When relying upon public transport to undertake essential travel journeys, the Council strongly urge individuals to consult individual transport providers websites for up to date timetable information to plan journeys.

Following the announcement from the Welsh First Minister, allowing the opening of non essential shops Flintshire County Council Local Travel Arrangements will be re instate from Monday 23rd of June but on a reduced seating capacity of 25%. Passengers are requested to wear face masks to travel on these services.

A scheme which offers Wales’ 110,000 16-21 year olds the opportunity to save a third off the price of an adult bus fare was launched by First Minister, Carwyn Jones. From the 1st September 2015 young persons living in Wales will be able to use their cards to obtain discounted travel on local bus service in Wales.You can apply for your travel card by going on-line or contacting the number below.

Bus Services on Public Holidays
On Public Holidays, most bus services operate to a SUNDAY timetable. Buses do not normally operate on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, bus services finish earlier than usual at about 8pm.
