Candidate Sites Register
The Council has compiled a Register of submitted Candidate Sites. The Register is also available to view in hard copy at Council Offices in Ewloe and Flint, at Contacts Centres and at libraries.
The Register is being made available for information only and representations on the Candidate Sites will not be accepted. If, following assessment of submitted sites, a particular site was to be included in the LDP then there will be an opportunity for representations to be made when the Plan is formally consulted upon later in the process.

By Settlement:
Please click on a settlement in the list below to see the submitted Candidate Sites in that settlement. For each settlement a document will be opened up containing a schedule for each site containing key information about the site and a plan showing the site boundary.
- The Candidate Site relating to land at the rear of Millstone Park, Penyffordd for a school site (PEN041) has been withdrawn.
- The map for SYCH006 in the Candidate Sites Register was incorrectly annotated and has now been amended to accurately reflect the fact that the site has been put forward for protection.
- The map for TREU004 was incorrectly annotated and has now been amended to accurately reflect the fact that the site submitted for consideration was larger than that plotted.
- In the register only, the maps for NOR029 & NOR030 are incorrectly annotated. Please note that NOR029 is in fact land north of Cricket Club, Northop and NOR030 is land north of St Peters Park, Northop, not the other way around.
- The map for NOR033 was incorrectly annotated and has now been amended to accurately reflect the site submitted for consideration.
- The map for SHO002 (Adj Poor Clare Convent) was incorrectly annotated and has now been amended to HWN012 to accurately reflect the fact that the site relates better to the settlement of Hawarden.
- The map for SHO003 (East of Aston Hall) was incorrectly annotated and has now been amended to HWN013 to accurately reflect the fact that the site relates better to the settlement of Hawarden.
- The Candidate Site relating to land at the land rear of Cwrt Rhyd Galed, Mold (MOL003 / 014) has been withdrawn.
- Candidate site BUC043 has been reduced following a request made by the landowner to remove part of the site in May 2017.
- The Candidate Site relating to land adjacent 8 Station Lane, Hawarden, site (HWN009) has been withdrawn.
