What is Placemaking?
Placemaking puts local voices at the heart of town centre planning, gathering ideas and priorities through digital and face-to-face consultations.
Bringing together the Council, businesses, community groups, and partners to work towards shared goals and identify opportunities for investment.
Each plan sets out a 5-10 year vision with clear priorities.
Action Plans then detail specific projects for the next 1-2 years.
Placemaking can involve bringing vacant shops back into use, greening our towns, creating conditions for businesses to grow and thrive, introducing town centre living, and supporting local people to access services, activities and events.
