A range of data sources informs the work of Young Flintshire and decision making.
Some examples of the data sources are summarised below:

The ‘3 issues survey’ is coordinated by the Youth Council. Young people aged 11-18 years across Flintshire are invited to share their top three topics that they feel need to be explored further for young people. The ‘3 issues’ identified for 2025-2026 can be viewed below, along with the three priorities that were identified in April 2024 for 2024-2025.

School Health Research Network (SHRN)
The School Health Research Network (SHRN) is a policy-practice-research partnership between Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, and Cardiff University established in 2013. SHRN coordinates a health and wellbeing survey completed every two years by secondary school pupils across Wales. The data collected nationally, regionally and locally helps to shape policy and practice. Schools and local authorities receive data reports to enable health and wellbeing, monitoring and action planning.
