Flintshire County Council is undertaking work at Ysgol Glan Aber, Bagillt, on a project that will improve the education provision in the area. The Council, in partnership with Welsh Government, will be investing over £2.3m in the school with the aim to provide a new hall and dining facilities, a new classroom and remodelled accommodation to transform the current facility into one fit for the 21st Century.
A better learning environment will help to inspire pupils to learn and will assist the Council in achieving its obligations under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. The project promotes a more equal Wales by providing modern facilities which will remove barriers to learning and increase the likelihood of children and young people realising their full potential.
The project was officially launched in October 2018 and will be delivered by Kier Construction, with an anticipated completion date of spring 2020.
