The Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme (HSPSS) was launched nationally in 2011 for all childcare settings in Wales as an extension of the Welsh Network of Healthy School Schemes (WNHSS).

Working together to promote healthy living, positive well-being and improve engagement with education and the school during the summer holidays.

The Welsh Network of Health and Well-being Promoting Schools (WNHWPS), has been supporting schools to embed a whole-school approach to health and well-being since the late 1990s.
