NEW Homes board visit their new homes

The NEW Homes Board recently visited the £7.77m housing scheme of 62 new affordable homes in Flint town centre. North East Wales Homes Ltd (NEW Homes) and Flintshire County Council developed an innovative approach to financing the scheme where the Council has provided a capital finance loan to NEW Homes. Flintshire County Council Deputy Leader and Chairman of NEW Homes, Councillor Bernie Attridge, said: “I am delighted that seven NEW Homes have been handed over to the first tenants this month. This is a flagship scheme and will vastly improve the housing offer for people living in Flint.” In addition to the 62 affordable homes, the scheme will also see the delivery of 30 new Council homes on the site.
