  		New Chairman and Vice-Chairman announced

On Thursday, 18 May, Flintshire County Council elected Councillor Brian Lloyd 
as Chairman. 
Councillor Lloyd represents Mold West and has been a member of Flintshire 
County Council since May 2012.  
Councillor Lloyd lives in Mold and is married to Jean and has one daughter and 
two granddaughters.  Mrs. Lloyd will be Councillor Lloyd’s Consort.
Councillor Lloyd said:
“I’m delighted to be elected as Chairman of Flintshire County Council for the 
coming year.   It is a great honour to represent such an incredible County as 
ours.  I will carry out my duties to the best of my ability and represent 
Flintshire with pride.  I’d like to thank my fellow Councillors who have had 
the confidence in me to vote me in as Chairman and congratulations to the 
Vice-Chairman, Councillor Paul Cunningham.”
The Vice-Chairman for the coming 12 months will be Councillor Paul Cunningham 
who represents Flint Trelawny.  Councillor Cunningham has been a member of 
Flintshire County Council since April 2014.  
Councillor Cunningham lives in Flint and is married to Joan and has four 
children and six beautiful granddaughters.  Mrs. Cunningham will be Councillor 
Cunningham’s Consort.
