cycle image.jpgLast year, Flintshire County Council and Buckley Town Council formed a working group to explore possible highway improvements in the town.

The group has successfully secured funding from Welsh Government to expand the current Active Travel infrastructure within Buckley, by improving the cycle links from and to schools within the town.

The proposed scheme includes the widening of B5127 Mill Lane to allow for free flowing traffic, signalising the Mill Lane/Hawkesbury Road junction and widening the paths to the Elfed High School and the Southdown, Westwood and Mountain Lane Primary Schools.

Information, including scheme drawings, are available online can be viewed on Flintshire County Council’s website from Wednesday 25 November, within the consultation section. Members of the public are invited to comment on the proposals.
