Supporting local businesses

The Council is continuing to work with local businesses to ensure they receive the latest round of business support grants that commenced on 28 October. This week has seen the following awards completed: 

Non-Domestic Rate (NDR) grants 1,577 applications received and 961 have been assessed and paid out – total awards to date are £2.79m.

Non-NDR Discretionary grants 473 applications received and 208 have been assessed with payment to follow next week – total awards to date are £208k.

We would encourage businesses to apply online at Businesssupportgrants, remembering that the closing date for applications is 5pm on 20 November 2020 or when the fund is fully committed.
