Residents invited to have their say on draft Transformation Strategy

Residents are being encouraged to have their say on Flintshire County Council’s plans for improving and modernising services over the coming years.

A consultation into the Council’s draft Strategic Transformation Strategy for 2026 to 2029 is now open and runs until 4 October 2026.

The draft strategy sets out how the Council plans to modernise and improve services while responding to ongoing financial pressures and increasing demand for support. It includes plans to make better use of technology, work more closely with other organisations and communities, and ensure the Council remains financially sustainable.

The strategy also focuses on improving customer experience, with better utilisation of information and data to support decision-making.

Any future proposals that could result in changes to services or policies would be subject to their own assessments and consultation processes.

Councillor Richard Jones, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Transformation, Growth and Place, said: “We want to hear from as many people as possible about our plans for transformation.

“Your feedback will help us develop a strategy that supports innovation and improvement while continuing to meet the needs of our communities.

"At Flintshire we have always challenged ourselves to do things differently so that we can improve service or save money. The Transformation Strategy builds on that legacy by encouraging innovation in how we deliver our services, drive up performance and cut costs.

"Above it all, though, it is about delivering excellent customer service to residents and businesses alike - just done differently."

People can take part in the consultation by going to flintshire.gov.uk/consultations.

Views shared in the consultation will help shape the final Strategy, which will then be presented to councillors for consideration and adoption.
