Free Park and Ride service available for Mold Food and Drink Festival visitors
Published: 16/09/2026
Visitors travelling to Mold Food and Drink Festival this weekend can take advantage of a free Park and Ride service being provided by Flintshire County Council.
The service will operate on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, helping festival-goers enjoy the event while easing parking pressures in the town centre.
The Council is once again pleased to be supporting the festival by providing a free shuttle bus service between County Hall and Mold Bus Station.
On both days, two shuttle buses will operate continuously. On Saturday, the service will run from 9.30am to 6pm, with the last bus departure from Mold Bus Station at 5.55pm.
On Sunday, the service will run from 10am to 5.15pm, with the last departure from Mold Bus Station at 5.10pm.
Parking on the tiered parking areas at County Hall will be free of charge for visitors using the Park and Ride, though pay and display charges will apply on Saturday within the multi-storey car park and the parking area at the front of County Hall. There are no parking charges on Sundays.
Councillor Chris Dolphin, Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism, said: “The Mold Food and Drink Festival is a hugely popular event that draws in thousands of visitors every year.
“We’re pleased to support the festival by providing a free Park and Ride, offering a stress-free way to get to and from the event while helping to ease pressure on the town centre over what is sure to be a very busy weekend.
“We encourage everyone attending this weekend to make use of this free service and enjoy everything the festival has to offer.”
