Students across Flintshire schools are celebrating as they receive their GCSE results.
Councillor Mared Eastwood, Cabinet Member for Education, Welsh Language, Culture and Leisure said:
“ The Council is very proud of our learners for the hard work that has led to them receiving their results today. We are delighted for their achievements.
I wish them every success in the next steps of their learning, whether that is through post -16 education or through training or employment.”
Chief Officer, Education and Youth, Claire Homard, said:
“I am very pleased to send my congratulations to all of our learners receiving their results today. They should be enormously proud of themselves.
I recognise the efforts of parents and carers in supporting their children through many years of education, and I thank them for working in successful partnership with our schools. I thank our school staff for their dedication and commitment to ensuring that our pupils are given every opportunity to succeed.
As we look forward to a new academic year, I wish our learners every success in their next steps. I know our schools will continue to provide support and advice about future pathways and preparing for September. “
