Get out this summer with Flintshire’s Access and Natural Environment Service

Flora walk.jpgThe knowledgeable team invites you to join them for fun and interesting summer events. Whether it be Countryside or Coast, most are free to enjoy. 

June’s events are set to enjoy Flintshire’s Coast with ‘The Dee Estuary Expedition’ on the 6 June, a gentle walk on the Dee Estuary with the Coastal Ranger. Flint’s ‘A Wheel Expedition’ is promoted for those who are less able and use a motorised wheelchair, you will be shown the sites and accessible routes by our local volunteer.  Join our Ecologist and Ranger down at Talacre and learn all about what grows on and around the dunes on the 7 June.

Further inland, discover Etna Park, Buckley on 18 June, with our knowledgeable Ranger for an exciting and informative trail.  

Greenfield Valley Trust hosts their outdoor music event ‘Live at the Valley’ 24 June. They boast a diverse line-up and fun activities for all to enjoy. 

Not only do we have our annual River Ramble and Bat walk in August at Wepre Park, but we also welcome the return of Illyria. The award-winning company to present ‘Robin Hood’, an action-packed heist for the whole family on 1 July.  

Cllr David Healey, Cabinet member for Climate Change and Economy said: 

“This is a brilliant opportunity for the community to learn more about our natural spaces and enjoy events together and with our knowledgeable team. There is an interesting variety this summer, something for everyone. I look forward to taking part and seeing some of the photographs of the events thereafter.”
