Welcome to your vote!

WTYVW_Register1_Twitter_Green.pngDuring Welcome to your vote week, Flintshire County Council is encouraging young people to think about signing up to vote.

In Wales, 16 and 17 year olds are now able to vote in the Senedd and local elections.

We all want to see positive change in Wales. But, for democracy to work for everyone, we need young people in Wales to get involved.

You can register to vote on-line by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. You will need your National Insurance number, and it only takes a few minutes.

You should receive your National Insurance number a couple of months before you turn 16, so when you receive it, think about registering to vote straight away so you are ready when the next elections happen.

Assistance in locating your National Insurance number can be found at www.gov.uk/lost-national-insurance-number or by telephoning the National Insurance Number Helpline on 0300 200 3500.
