Chairman’s Civic Service

Published: 26/07/2017

Each year, Flintshire County Council holds a Civic Sunday service close to the start of the new municipal year, which begins in May. The Church is chosen by the new Chair of Council. The Chair of Council chooses a member of the clergy to act as Chairs chaplain during their year of office. This year, the Chaplain is the Reverend Kevin Horswell and the Civic Service was held at St Mary’s Church in Mold on Sunday 23 July. It was attended by the High Sheriff, Mrs Howard, and her husband, Deputy Lieutenant, David Catherall and his wife, Lord and Lady Jones as well as members of the council and the local community. After the service, the Chair of Council and his consort provided refreshments to their guests at the church. Left to right: Cllr Chris Bithell, Rev.
