As part of Wales Climate Week, we’re inviting every school to create their own Climate Action Pledge — a shared promise of how your school will help protect the planet.

Encourage learners and staff to get involved and help decide what your school’s pledge should be — every small action makes a big difference.

Now it’s over to you!

As a school, we pledge to play our part in helping decarbonise Flintshire County and help Wales become Net Zero Wales by 2050.

You can use some of the examples below to get started:

• Begin utilising the FCC School Climate Toolkit
• Reducing food waste and recycling more.
• Growing plants or vegetables in school.
• Creating wildlife-friendly areas on the school grounds.
• Switching off lights and appliances when not in use.
• Drive less – Walk, wheel, scoot or cycle.

If you would like to receive a certificate of your pledge to reduce your school’s carbon emissions, please enter your email address here to consent to us using your email address for the purpose of sending you the certificate.
