New Small Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (sWEEE) for businesses
Under the Workplace Recycling Regulations (Wales), all businesses, charities, and public sector organisations are legally required to separate their waste. From 6 April 2026, this mandate extends to all small Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (sWEEE).
While you are free to use any registered waste carrier, we provide a Pay-As-You-Go collection service. This is specifically designed for businesses that don't produce enough electrical waste for a permanent contract but still need a compliant, professional way to dispose of items like old monitors, kettles, and chargers.
What the Law Means for Your Business
The Welsh Government requires that all electrical items with a plug, battery, or cable measuring 50cm or less on any side must be:
- Separated from general waste and other recyclables.
- Collected separately by a registered waste carrier.
- Kept out of landfill and incineration to recover valuable materials.
