Please find below links to support and/or advice relating to the current unprecedented situation.   We will update this page as and when we have any more information.

Employment mentors

Our employment mentors are still available by phone, text or email and they provide free intensive one to one mentoring to help you identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers preventing you gaining employment.

Dan Wade and Coran Halfpenny-Williams are our mentors for young people (16-24) – they are experienced and appreciate the challenges often faced by young people.

All energy suppliers are giving three weeks emergency credit.  Contact Citizens Advice for information if you are self isolating and you use card & key meters.

Family Information Service

The Family Information Service Flintshire (FISF) is the first point of contact for advice and information on local services for families and carers.

The Family Information Service Flintshire is currently using email (fisf@flintshire.gov.uk) and messaging through their social media and websites as their main contact point.

There are also two national websites available –

www.dewis.wales which is THE place to go if you want information or advice about services which can help support you with your health and well-being – or if you want to know how you can help somebody else. 

Their other website is

www.fis.wales which helps you find suitable registered childcare and offers advice on other support available for looking after your children.

Flintshire Housing Solutions

The Housing Solutions Team is the first point of contact for advice and information on local services for anyone who has a housing need, including general housing advice, support to manage your home and also includes advice and support for people who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness.  For more information about our services you can visit

Shelter Cymru
