Flintshire Local Development Plan


The Flintshire LDP was adopted by the Council on 24/01/23 and covers the period 2015 to 2030. It forms part of the statutory development plan alongside Future Wales: The National Plan 2040. The remaining part of the statutory development plan will be the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) for North Wales, once prepared and adopted. The Council will use the LDP and Future Wales as the primary basis for making decisions on planning applications and development proposals.

Written statement – comprising introduction, strategy, strategic policies, detailed development management policies and monitoring framework. The adopted written statement can be viewed here.

The LDP is supplemented by a separate constraints map which can be viewed as an interactive map here. The constraints map is for information only and does not form part of the statutory adopted development plan.

Final versions of the adopted LDP are now available to view in hard copy in Ty Dewi Sant in Ewloe, County Hall in Mold, Connects Offices and libraries.
