To ensure a sustainable future for the Library and Information Service, retaining as many libraries as possible, closer working partnerships with local communities are being developed including a role for community volunteers. Volunteering Opportunities (Pdf 144KB new window).
Each of the Council’s libraries is listed below. A link has been created for each library which, when selected, will open a Pdf document which contains opening hours, postal address and a description of the services offered. If you want to know where a library is situated, select the postcode link shown beside the library’s name and this will open map information.
In addition to fact and fiction books for all ages and access to a range of audio books and DVDs your local Flintshire library provides :

Many of the larger libraries hold cultural events, such as visits from authors.

Forgotten to return your books?
Flintshire Library customers now receive only one notification of overdue items. A reminder will be sent out to adult customers 4 weeks after the return date and to under 17s 6 weeks after the return date. Remember you can renew your items online (new window) or by telephone or mail.
