By-elections May 2021
Flintshire County Council and Town / Community.
By-elections are held when a vacancy becomes available between elections. This can happen at any level of government, from town and community councils and county council, to national government.
Vacancies arise when a member:
• passes away
• is declared bankrupt
• is disqualified after not attending meetings for a continuous period of six months
The Returning Officer at Flintshire wishes to inform residents of 6 forthcoming by-elections.

Any person wishing to stand as a candidate should contact the Returning Officer at Flintshire County Council on 01352 702329, 702327 or 702412, or email email@example.com to obtain nomination papers. Completed nomination papers must be presented in person by appointment with the Returning Officer or his Deputy at County Hall, Mold no later than 4pm Thursday 8 April 2021.
Should any election be contested, polling will take place on 6 May 2021.
