Wepre Park

Wepre Park is an ancient woodland rich in wildlife and history. It is a greatly valued green space for the residents of Connah’s Quay, and is used by over 200,000 visitors from across the region annually. Its 160 acres are cared for on a daily basis by Flintshire Countryside Service so that everyone can enjoy its beautiful open spaces and facilities.

No other park in the region has such a rich combination of features. We have the best free children’s playground in the region, two football pitches, acres of beautiful woodland walks, a well-managed fishing pool, and a recently modernised and manned Visitor Centre to help you enjoy your visit.

Wepre Park Development Project

We are currently developing a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund to conserve, restore and improve Wepre Park for everyone. We are keen to hear from everyone about their ideas for the park and their thoughts on the proposals as we develop the bid. View further information on the Wepre Park Development Project.
