The Building Control Service is responsible for ensuring that building work is carried out in accordance with the Building Regulations. The department provides a range of services, advice and information to the public and has responsibility for health safety and welfare of people in and around buildings.  We also have responsibility for dangerous structures, demolition, street naming and numbering.

Our offices at Entrance 3, County Hall, are open to visitors between 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm on a Friday or you can contact us by telephone between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
