The Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Team support young people who experience problems with drugs and alcohol. We offer one to one support meetings, specialist treatment options and general information sessions. Our drug and alcohol education takes place in schools, youth clubs, pubs, clubs and out on the streets.
We have recently launched our Night Dragon Bus. On the bus there are various activities and resources including turntables, video making equipment, iPod docking stations, computers and DVD player with plasma screen. We also have access to up to date current information through leaflets and posters as well as educational games and DVD’s.
If you see us or have any questions about drugs and alcohol please feel free to approach us and get some information. We also have excellent links with other related services, and can pass on their contact details to you if you want.

Anything you tell us will be treated as completely confidential. Our helpline staff are friendly and won’t judge you – we get hundreds of calls every day, many of which are about the same problems and wanting similar advice.
Feel free to call us as many times as you want – whether it’s about the same problem, or an entirely different issue. We can also put you in touch with other services which might be able to help you, if you want us to.
Frank
Website: www.talktofrank.com (new window)
Frank is the national drugs information service which offers friendly, confidential advice on drugs, 24 hours a day throughout the year.
You may have seen our recent adverts on TV which give the facts about the health harms associated with cocaine and cannabis. Why not visit our website and find out more? There is an A-Z of drugs which gives you the facts about everything from Acid to Zero. You can also share your stories with us (anonymously), find out what to do if you're worried about a friend or family member who is affected by drugs, play 'spliff pinball' and visit the FRANK laboratory.
If you can’t find the information you need you can call, email or text us.
The Site
Website: www.thesite.org (new window)
TheSite.org aims to be the first place all young people turn to when they need support and guidance. It believes you should make your own decisions and life choices, and can help you through giving general information and advice. It won't tell you how to lead your life - but believes everybody should have all the information they need to make their own decisions.
TheSite.org is split into sections including sex and relationships, health and wellbeing, and drink and drugs. There are message boards for you to discuss problems with other site users, as well as useful articles, videos, and surveys.
If you can’t find the information you need, you can email TheSite.org a question. We will pass your question onto an expert from one of our partner organisations who will email you a personal reply with three working days.
