Road safety
The Road Safety Unit is committed to promoting safety for all road users through an ongoing programme of Education, Training and Publicity. The Unit also co-ordinates and provides information, advice and resources. The Unit actively promotes training courses and workshops for both professionals and volunteers.
The Unit’s contribution to casualty reduction is targeted towards:
- The distribution of relevant and up-to-date road safety resources to all schools, colleges and educational organizations throughout Flintshire.
- Road Safety Training for pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers.
- Promoting Publicity, educating and informing the public of Flintshire.
- A high quality School Crossing Patrol service.

Parents who drive short journeys to school make up much of the rush hour traffic, which creates particular dangers for those who walk, especially children. There are alternatives, and you could be part of the answer to all these problems.
