The Committee also has duties in relation to complaints against Magistrates, providing information to the Department for Constitutional Affairs and liaising with it on issues affecting the four Benches. The time commitment sought from members of the Advisory Committee averages between five and ten days per year spent in attending meetings of the Committee, interviewing applicants and attending promotional or ceremonial events.
