Regeneration


Regeneration is a major priority for Flintshire County Council. It has cross-cutting implications on the services of other Directorates and other organisations e.g. Welsh Development Agency and ELWa, which means that regeneration is usually undertaken through a partnership approach.

The Flintshire Economic Development Strategy 'Flintshire Moving Forward' is a new approach towards guiding the future of Flintshire's economy.
Flintshire County Council and partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors are working hard to reduce unemployment. Successful partnerships, programmes and services have enabled more people to access the training and support required to enter the workplace and to progress once there.
Flintshire County Council is committed to working with partners in helping to develop and strengthen Flintshire’s rural communities.
The purpose of the study is to provide the Council with comprehensive data on the current performance of the County’s main town and district centres in relation to a wide range of indicators.
