Canmol: The Wales Marketing Awards

The Chartered Institute of Marketing is calling on marketing professionals from around Wales to enter Canmol 2009.  Canmol, which means ‘to praise’ in Welsh, were created to celebrate and promote excellence in marketing in Wales.  The Awards are open to all those working in marketing in the public or private sector in Wales, from sole traders or freelancers to directors of multinational companies.  For further information or to apply online visit www.canmol.com.  Closing date Monday 31 August 2009.

Redundancy Action Scheme (ReAct)

Welsh Assembly Government support to help individuals gain new skills, overcome obstacles and return to work in the shortest time possible.  Employer Recruitment and Training Support is available to your business if the individual you wish to recruit is either under formal notice of redundancy or has become unemployed in the last six months as a result of redundancy.  What is the Redundancy Action Scheme (ReAct)? In addition to providing an integrated range of services, Flintshire Business Centres has a reputation for integrity and has a tradition of partnership working with private, public and voluntary organisations to underpin service delivery.

This page provides information about Flintshire Business Week which is organised by Flintshire Business Services. The event provides a platform to promote the business activity in the County through a variety of events and seminars.
The Health and Safety at Work Act and associated regulations apply in all workplaces. Apart from premises inspections to check compliance, our Public Protection Division investigates accidents and complaints plus provides information, advice and guidance for employers, employees and members of the public.
Flintshire City Council has responsibility for licensing and monitoring a number of types of business activity conducted within the area. These activities range from placing a builder's skip on the highway to running a zoo.
Non-Domestic Rates or Business Rates as they are more commonly known are the means by which businesses and other users of Non-Domestic property contribute towards the costs of local authority services.
The Town Centre Managers cover a range of activities and issues concerned with the day to day running of these centres, as well as special events and activities. They also seek to attract new business to the centres as well as provide support to existing businesses.
The Trading Standards Service promotes fair, safe and honest trading practices in Flintshire. We have a statutory duty to enforce a wide range of consumer laws and to provide help and advice to businesses and consumers.
