New Chairman - Published: 15/05/2012

Flintshire County Council today (Tuesday 15 May) elected Councillor Ann Minshull as Chairman. It is the second time she has held office having been Council Chairman in 2007/8.

Councillor Minshull represents the Shotton West ward and has been a member of Flintshire County Council since 2004. She is also a member of Shotton Town Council, which she has chaired for the past 12 months.

Councillor Minshull has lived in Shotton since 1971.

The Vice-Chairman for the coming 12 months will be Councillor Carolyn Thomas. A member of the Council since 2008 she represents the Treuddyn ward. She is also a member of Treuddyn Community Council and Llanfynydd Community Council and lives in Pontybodkin.

Councillor Thomas is also the current Chairman of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
