Service: Community Safety

Location: County Hall, Mold

Telephone: 01352 702132

Service Description: Community safety is based on the principle that working together, agencies can make a greater impact on crime and the causes of crime. The local authority, the police force, fire service, health authority and probation service have responsibility under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to work together in partnership to tackle crime and disorder.
Every year the Community Safety Partnership produces a Strategic Assessment which considers the incidence of crime and disorder in the county during the previous 12 month period. As a result of the information collated in that document, and also the outcome of consultation with the community, the Partnership produces a Strategic Plan, which outlines the partners' approach for the forthcoming year to issues relating to community safety.
