Late Retirement
If you continue to work after age 65, you can carry on paying pension contributions and accrue further LGPS membership.
When you retire, your benefits will be actuarially increased to take into account the fact that you will be receiving the benefits for a shorter period of time.
All benefits must be paid on or before your 75th birthday.

If you have at least 3 months total membership or have brought a transfer value into the LGPS, you can leave employment voluntarily and receive your pension benefits at any time from age 60 onwards.
If you are asked to retire or agree to retire on the grounds of efficiency or redundancy, you will be entitled to receive immediate payment of unreduced benefits providing that you:
