Published: 20/09/2017

Supported by Flintshire Communities First, six members of the Flintshire Enterprise Club attended this year’s Mingle for Business Conference and Exhibition held at the Springfield Hotel Conference Suite recently. The theme for the day was “Simply the Best” and featured an interactive exhibition from a wide cross-section of industries from business services, products and personal development resources all offering practical advice and support. Barry Evans founder of Evolift Safety Products, Caroline Lamont of Tips on Nails, Carol Britnell who offers bee-related products including honey, wax cloths and polish Joanne Powell, whose business “Costumes for Children” makes scenic costumes and props, Bethan Williams from Amser Babi Cymraeg and Angela Atherton from Autism Support all attended the event. Mingle for Business was set up by Sandra Donaghue who explains: “Mingle for Business is a network of professionals and entrepreneurs which provides effective business support and networking for business professionals at all levels. We meet regularly across North Wales and Chester. I was delighted to see so many of the Flintshire Enterprise Club members at the event as I have been supporting them over the past few months by delivering Pathway 2 Business workshops and they are a really enthusiastic and dedicated group of business people, each passionate about their particular skills. “The conference programme featured supportive presentations designed to inspire, to address issues that affect business, to share tips, offer advice and share personal experiences. The aims were to support small businesses, to develop a support network, raise profiles and instil self-belief in an inspiring environment.”
